Hi Annalisa,
right, and thanks for that signalling tip, which leads right to a related question, whether Talmudic or not: How come eukaryotes are all about signalling (myriad morphologies fuelled by monotonous energy metabolism) while prokaryotes save on signalling (myriad forms of energy metabolism in an -- all things considered -- monotonous morphology)? Does that boil down to mitochondria too?
