Elio, it is great to hear your voice again.
One thing that has always impressed me has been your sheer breadth of interests, and your ability to "see" things *I* certainly haven't thought about (such as the viscosity of the nucleoid, versus making promoters available for transcriptional machinery---that viscid region must be churning like a horrific nanoscale typhoon!).
Please consider telling us how you keep up---what is the Elio Regimen for Staying Microbiologically Current?
And let me give you the highest praise I know: I don't like mushrooms, and I find myself thinking about cooking with them, as you eloquently sing their mycological praises.
