This reminds me of a project I tried few years that I named "Cosmos in a drop". I wanted to create a microscopic image of a drop of pond water which would emulate the image of the cosmos, very similar to the image used in this blog. Sadly, I am not an adept microscopist and was not able to capture the full microcosmic world I envisioned. The few pictures that did work are printed and hung on the walls of my lab. I suggest readers with better skills than mine to have a go and perhaps share it with us here?
