The first "seminar" given by Christopher Columbus after he returned from his first voyage probably took place at the "Saló del Tinell" (Tinell's Hall") where he was received by Isabella and Ferdinand, the "Catholic Kings." The hall and the gate to it can be seen from outside a palace in the "Plaça del Rei" in the gothic quarter in Barcelona.
