Dear Elio: even though I was pretty uncomfortable with my face in this post (!), thank you very much. I am indeed a friend of this blog, and remain grateful for the opportunity to have written ten (I think) posts for it in previous years. I love this idea of microbiology and art, and just finished a post about it on my own blog. Some of your readers might be interested in some of the very unique approaches to microbiology and art that I describe there (including sculptures made with kombucha!). More to the point, there are some genuine and perhaps useful pedagogical approaches at this intersection between microbiology and art.
