Today is Elio's day! A day to reflect on 88 good years, many of those decades spent engaged with the microbial world. Innumerable courses taught, students inspired, public lectures given, books written, research published, researchers encouraged, and now, for almost 10 years, the microbes' favorite blog hosted. That's 88 years of sharing and still going strong.
Mazel tov!
